Review on the trailer of the movie ´Aladdin´
Directed by a filmmaker Guy Ritchie 'Aladdin' is based on Disney’s 1992 animated feature of the same name.
Just like the original, the film follows the fortunes of a good-hearted Agrabahian (Agrabah is an Arabian city, the central location of the story) street urchin (played by Mena Massoud), who aims to win the heart of the Sultan's daughter, the beautiful Princess Jasmine (Naomi Scott), and stop the vile sorcerer Jafar (Marwan Kenzari) from overthrowing the Sultan (Navid Negahban). As before, in his mission he's aided by his pet monkey Abu, a flying magic carpet and a wise-cracking Will Smith in the guise of Genie.
About the cast, I must say that I really love to see Will Smith playing this role, because as a person he is the same as his character: a hilarious wit to say in a couple of words. I'm not familiar with the rest of the crew but I think the acting will be OK.
From the trailer we indicate the presence of massive special effects, huge scenes that are top grade actually (like the moment with volcanic destruction or the appearance of the genie). There are also many scenes of parkour here and this is exactly what appeals to me most because I'm really keen on parkouring and like everything connected with it.
I don't consider this movie to be thought-provoking, but the main thing you can draw is that whoever you are, you can achieve everything if you are kind and sincere inside.
For people who are fans of the 90´s animated 'Aladdin' this movie is must-see. It will suit both children and adults. It is the latest live-action remake of a classic Disney animated feature, following the success of 2017’s 'Beauty and the Beast' and 2016’s ´The Jungle Book', among others.
From my own point of view, I´ll give this film 4/5 stars.
